Summary: What happens when a judgy little witch and a snarky vampire get trapped on the “other side” and find themselves in Forks, Washington? What happens after they witness the cruel break-up between Bella Swan and Edward Cullen? A story of friendship, love and finding your way home.
I had originally started this story as a one shot for a writing contest. At the last minute, I got an idea for a different story and entered Buried Alive, instead. Many months passed as I left it sitting in my Word documents. I wasn’t sure what to do with it, to be honest.
Then one day, I was working on another story when the muse started whispering about this one. I discarded some of the original draft and reworked it, as I didn’t have to use the prompt provided in the contest. I wrote and wrote until it reached past fifteen thousand words and that would be much too long for a one shot, so I decided to make it a multi-chapter. Ironically, I didn’t have a title for it when I shared some of it with a friend, who then suggested “Spirits in the Mist.” I thought it fit the story just perfectly, so I went with it!
This will be my first published story where the points of view change. It’s a bit of a challenge, but sometimes changing a POV is what the story calls for. Sometimes, certain characters want to be heard. I do hope that you enjoy it.
